For every order sold, TurnKey Promotions donates a portion to StreetWork, not less than 1% of all sales revenue ex GST, so that they can continue to support vulnerable youth in our community and help turn their lives around. Our contribution helps StreetWork to work directly with local youth who are at risk of disengaging early from school through their one-on-one mentoring program called KickStart.
From 1st July 2020 to 30th June 2021 TurnKey Promotions donated nearly $2,500, which represents over $40,000 in community benefit (based on StreetWork’s Social Return on Investment (SROI), with every $1 invested being a $16 return to the community).
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognise that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
TurnKey Promotions has been able to assist in the following sustainable development goals, specifically for the vulnerable young people in the community, listed below:
It is an understatement to state that 2020 was a year we could never expect. We endured natural disasters which ravaged communities and a global pandemic that impacted many areas of our lives. 2020 tested our resolve, our willingness to change and reshaped how we live and work. As an organisation, we learnt that our strength truly lies within our people and their ongoing commitment to Streetwork and supporting vulnerable young people in the community to turn their lives around. As we faced such uncertainties, our values mattered more than ever, as we explored how to best adapt to better support the young people who rely on organisations like StreetWork.
“We would not be able to deliver on our commitment to deliver on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), without the ongoing support of our corporate partners like TurnKey Promotions. A special thank you to Diana O’Cobhthaigh for her support of our commitment to vulnerable young people in the community as they address the risk factors, to help them turn their lives around.”
